Perrin Gurney Flap (HATCH) Subaru 2008-2014 WRX / 2008-2014 STI

The Gurney Flap is a small tab projecting from the trailing edge of a wing. Typically it is set at a right angle to the pressure side surface of the airfoil, and projects 1% to 2% of the wing chord. This trailing edge device can improve the performance of a simple airfoil to nearly the same level as a complex high-performance design.

The PERRIN Gurney Flap adds aggressive styling to your trunk spoiler. Without looking too intrusive, the Gurney flap modification adds a small amount of height to your existing spoiler for a clean, clearly modified look.

SECURELY MOUNTED - PEACE OF MIND

The PERRIN Gurney Flap is mounted to the rear wing by drilling holes and bolting on. Other gurney flaps mount with double-sided tape and advertise an equally strong attachment. The PERRIN Gurney Flap will be secured much better with its bolts than a wing with tape for much greater peace of mind.

FINISH

Each PERRIN Gurney Flap has a semi-gloss black finish which looks good with every Subaru color. We ensure durability against the elements by using powdercoat paint which can be applied thicker and has a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint.

CONSTRUCTION

The PERRIN Gurney Flap is constructed from 10g 6061-T6 plate aluminum to eliminate corrosion and rusting. Precision laser cut, slotted holes allow for alignment adjustments during installation for a perfect fit.

Installation of the PERRIN Gurney Flap is easy with our step-by-step instructions and addition of our included threadsert hand tool. The PERRIN Gurney Flap does require drilling into the existing trunk spoiler and the final look is definitely worth it.
